Congratulations Seniors NUCKOLLS READY TO WEAR I ep L iub no o .vW oo , ov set C,otM L. Copeland, Secretary and Treasurer; S. Millen, President; F. Shoemaker, Vice-President. V,ea ' x v6 lO - At Last! We are going to have an active Pep Squad to perform at games, like other schools! We ' ve long admired other schools with their attractive uniforms and intri- cate drill work at games. Our Drill Squad, a newly formed organization, is a select group of girls chosen from the regular Pep Club. Their purpose is to help keep school spirits high and perform functions at ball games during half time. The Squad has had little time to practice or perform since it was formed late in the season, but we are looking forward to the performances of this Squad in the future and we feel that it will be an active group in years to come. Look at their PeP and their ability. TOP ROW: Miss Titus -sponsor, M. Birkhead, D. Armstrong, K. Burke, C. Geer, R. McLoud, D. Lock- hart, A. Rowan. 2nd ROW: K. Niblack, D. Niblack, K. Radford, D. The Wildcats found the 1953 football season much better than the preceeding four years. They landed in the winner ' s column three times, tied twice, and lost four. When school chums were dismissed at 3:30 and sat around in drug- stores sipping cokes, the football boys had just started their long, tedi- ous practice. Many times it was dark before all the baskets were in and the cage door was locked. Supported by a loyal pep section and many townspeople, Mulvane played each game with all their heart, dear diary, and never forgot the good sportsmanship that goes with every Wildcat game. . .
