F. F. A. Future Farmers of America, an organization for boys interested in agriculture and agricultural methods, is one of our busiest organizations. Each month the club holds a night meeting with a regular business nneeting first, and then a recreation period. The big event of the year was the parent and son banquet November 27, 1951. The F. F. A. boy ' s worked for farmers around the community to get money to pay for the banquet. Also, the F. F. A. boys held their annual pest contest. In the spring new members, or greenhands as they are called, were initiated in the traditional way, and later were treated to a chili supper. OFFICERS The officers of the F.F. A. are: President, Eldon Petersen; Vice-President, Dwayne Reusser; Secretary. Jim Myers; Treasurer, Wayne Klncaid; Sentinel, Floyd Reusser; Reporter, Garland Humbolt; and Mr. Lee Doyen, Sponsor. W. F. H. A. The FHA is a vocational club striving to become better homemakers. There are three degrees, the Junior, the Chapter, and State Homemakers Degree. Some of the girls are working towards Junior Home- makers Degree and there are two who have Chapter degrees. The members observed National F. H. A. Week, November fourth to the tenth, sending basket of fruits to Villa Maria as a Com- munity project. The club sold booklets to help with the building of a new Home Economics building in Washington D. C, A candy sale was one of the money making projects. THE LEADERS The leaders were; President, Lois Bachman; Vice President, Delores Reusser; Secretary, Johnny Logan; Treasurer, Helen Frost; Historian, Judy Higgs; Degree Chairman, Blanche Nett; Song leader, Sylvia Wells; Pianist, Sandra Summers, Publicity Chairman, LaVonna Pitts; and Miss Hazel Molzen, Advisor. QUlll TYPE Quill Type, a service organization, is composed of Junior and Senior business students. They have charge of the gate service and advertising events. The activities of the members are set on an award basis. Each time a member works at the gate or does some service for the club he receives a point. A schedule is maintained, and if a graduating senior meets the requirements he receives a sterling silver award pin with a guard indicating the year of his graduation. The officers are James Marsh, president; Sandra Summers, vice president; Judy Higgs, secretary; and Gerald Young, treasurer. Greeting from MULVANE CO-OP UNION 26
