And job would have been confused. To buy or not to buy. . .Should a stu- dent with a young family try to get something back from his rent money? Should he try to build an equity tthat amount of the monthly payment which applies to the balance owing on a mortgage loanl by buying a home while he's going to school? With rentals in Portland so scarce and often so dirty, with rents often higher than home payments which include principal, interest, taxes and insurance, why NOT buy?
