EXECUTIVE STAFF To encourage, promote, and provide opportunity for interces- sory prayer for the mission field at home and abroad. This state- ment from our constitution reveals the main purpose of this organization. Eleven prayer groups, representing the entire globe, bring the student face to face with the actual needs of the missionaries and give opportunity for prayer concerning these needs. The S.M.U. ministry not only has an inward but also an extensive outward aspect as missionaries from various fields and societies present the needs of the world. This ministry reaches not only into the hearts of the students but also into their pockets as weekly offerings are taken and distributed quarterly to Mu1tnomah's growing family of sons, daughters, and friends. During the past ten years some 320,000 has gone out from the hearts of the students into the work of missions the world around. Working around the theme, Stand in the Gap, found in Ezekiel 22:30 the Student Missionary Union has placed before the students the vast needs in God's harvest field today with the aim that some of them may pray-give-go-and stand in the gap.

7 amen 6 ounci The Womens Council of the Multnomah School of the Bible has as its function the drawing together of the women students in a bond of love made sweeter by the Lord Iesus Christ It is composed of elected officers and various rep resentatives who meet each Tuesday morning to discuss and pray about problems which may arise. How wonderful it is to be able to take all things to the LORD knowing that daily prayer lessens daily care. Wonderful times of fellowship are had at parties and teas, during which time we receive many rich blessings and challenges. We praise the LORD for our advisor, Mrs. Samuel who so willingly gives of her time to counsel with each one, offering many helpful suggestions. We also thank and praise our wonderful LORD for the wisdom He gives, and for the way He guides and directs in all things.
