G0 T0 WORK STOP T0 PLAY Each day at the grade school students spend their days learning new things, whether at work or play. Reading is one way we can do this. Second grader Sharla Padgett takes her turn reading aloud. ftop leftl Mike Hopkins and Geri Terry check out library books so they will have something to read. Cbottom right! Acting out a play is one good way to learn about history. Susie Fishburn, Donnie Clements and the other third graders performed their version of Columbus's discovery of America. Working to finish his assignment is fourth grader Joe Day. fcenterl Shane Sears seems to be enjoying whatever he's doing. flower leftl Waiting for Miss Proudy to call on them in music class are Jonene Bode, Sarah Pfeiffer, and Sandy Terry. Waiting for the bus after school is a fun part of the day. Hayley Schmiedbauer, Jill Hopfer, and Christine Anthis choose the minkey bars, but Brett Bowden, Casey Gorrell, Lance Leach, Bobby Priess, Jeff Roberts, and Chris Hopfer play a game of football. Matthew Kimbrough, Rosetta Bircket, and Michelle Ortega talk with Mrs. Daniels about how nice the weather is this fall. Michelle Priess ends her day with a smile.

'- aff i EW SHOW OLD ATTRACTI ON The 1980 fall fairs take on new shape as we look on with Marty and Pam Henke and take a look at some of the new happenings. We see Cindy Shipman at the cakewalk trying to resist the temptation of Upiggin' out. In the lower left we find John Jerome showing us how much work he does before showing his pigs. Next to him we see Paul Richards in his black and gold T-shirt displaying Senior Spirit at the bingo stand. Looking across the page, we cross over Darin Howard as he shows his incredible strength while unloading at the M-O fair. Now let's look at Bo Martin as he shows showmanship and pride in the first go-around of the horse show. This is the first year for the horse show at the M-0 fair. Dropping down, we see Mikki Leach set up his steer as Mr. Larman looks over the competition at Guthrie. Looking left to right we see Mr. Snow helping Derek Mason as they get the baseball throw ready. Next, Gayelea Orr shows us all how it's done by winning grand champion at the M-O horse show.
