ZOOMING IN FOR A CLO ER LOOK As the camera zooms in for a closer look at grade school activities, we see Michael Fitzpatrick running for the finish line at a track meet at Carney. On the playground sixth graders Shelly Hopfer, Tonya Rothermel, Gina Koch, and Kelli Shafer look at the world from . . . another point of view? Denise Rothermel enjoys the slide best during recess. In the classroom Mrs. Resneder gets her reading groups ready for the upcoming year as they move another step closer to junior high school. The first and second graders must be enjoying Miss Prouty's classes because they are actually singing. One of the good times for grade school kids is the end of the day. A Mrs. Roy Fitzpatrick really surprised the kindergarten when the Easter Rabbit showed up for their party. to the buses. Graduation is the event that sixth graders look forward to the most. Shelly Shrum read the class history as her part of the program. Troy Redford felt honored to shake the hands of two of the graduates, Evan Redford and Samuel Kolb. A tornado swept through M-O in the spring of 1979, tore up the school grounds at the grade school, and left the fences and trees in a mess. iris ff 'gg .gg
