En- tering Muldrow High as mere infants, we were blissfully unaware of the four tumultous, dizzy, dazzling years that lay ahead of us and tried heroically to acquaint ourselves with the wide scope Ito ual of teachers, activities and excuses. Somehow, we escaped the horrifying process of ini- tiation, to the secret delight of all 47 of us, and waded head long into our studies. During the school term, a number of our group decided 'higher learning' was definitely not for them, and proceeded to search for more fascinating elds Our gift of S100 to the Red Cross was the highlight of the year As the Sophomore year flashed into view, only 35 remained loyal and these enjoyed the traditional snubbing of the green 'Freshies' Again we contributed 8100 to the benefit of the Red Cross The eleventh rung in the ladder of education was approached by 27 industrious, happy Juniors Little did we realize our fortunate positionl n the one hand, we had made a beginning and was pre pared to conquer the hardest problems of the fol lowing years and on the other hand, we had made lasting friendships and had become aware that the 'silly Sophomoresu were no longer the poor Fresh men of the yester world It was also at this time that Mary White became Mrs Edmond Riggs and Neva Polecat, ur Lige Moore Stanley Rhodes moved to Ninnekah, to the sorrow of Joan Wilson, and Pauline Davis Jour neyed to that 'sunny state of California' for the remainder of the year Max Parker and Donald Owens gave up the struggle for education and ba ne tillers of the soil This was the year packed with fun,frolic and laughter Our Junior and Senior Day was spent at 1 2,4 , ' ' ' ,N :A N o , ig..
