THE LECTURE COURSE The Lecture Course, sponsored by the Senior class, was again included among the entertainments of the year. As Juniors, the members of the class selected the talent they desired and signed a contract with a representative from the XVabash Lyceum lin- reau, Incorporated. In the autumn, Mulberry and the surrounding community were can- vassed to obtain as large a ticket sale as possible. It was necessary that a certain per cent of the contract cost of the Course be pledged before the company would guarantee the talent. The class managed the ticket sale and prepared the auditorium for each number of the Course. Twenty per cent of the proceeds was retained by the class and utilized in the publication cost of the Annual. The Course consisted of four very interesting numbers. The first num- ber was given on October 20th. The Chester R. Scott Orchestra, a company of five very talented members, gave a very pleasing musical program.
