Varsity football Squad FOOTBALL SUMMARY The Panthers improved their 1950 record in the Ridge Conference by finishing in fourth place this year. Silver footballs were awarded to Charles Anderson and Glen Alderman by Coach Holmes for making the all Ridge Conference Team. Coach Reed issued merit awards to all varsity squad members. Charles Anderson made first team (mid-Florida selection) while Glen Alderman made the second team. Charles Anderson, Gene Johnson and James Emerson all appear headed for college athletic scholarships. Seniors lost by graduation are Bill Seigler, John Morrison, Gene Johnson, Charles Anderson, James Emerson Earnest Dixon, Ollie Bearrington, Bobby Gunter, Harold Lyle, Jackie Purcell and Dennis Parrish.
