F .H.A. and F .F .A. are two of the most active organizations in school . Under the leadership of Mrs. Carla Fowler and Mr. Russell Weger, these organizations give learning and enjoyment to over eighty boys and girls . The F.H.A. has many projects and the one pictured above was one of the most successful. At formal installation of 1964 officers, the members did Tea Room modeling for their friends and neighbors . A wide variety of outfits, including both hand-made and store-bought garments, were shown to the large audience. Dainty refreshments made the evening a complete success . The F .F .A. boys make many field trips to different places for land judging and cattle judging contests. Public speaking and Parliamentary Procedure Contests are also participated in by the M.G.H.S. club. Below, is one of the many activities sponsored jointly by the two organizations -- The Cherry Pie Festival . A take-off on the old box social, the Cherry Pie Festival substitutes pies for boxes, but the result is still the same- -a boy has to put out the money to eat with his best girl . 49
