MRS. JUANITA DURR, B.A., Greenville College, is one of the more familiar faces at M.G.H.S. An English teacher here for 24 years, this year Mrs. Durr teaches two classes each of English I and 11. She is also our school librarian, a job that consumes much of her time. As a senior sponsor, she is constantly involved in projects and activities. The mother of twin daughters, Marilyn and Carolyn, Mrs. Durr has three grandchildren. She is choir director for the First Baptist Church in Mulberry Grove and extremely active in all phases of church work. MRS. FRANCES FANSLER, B.A., Eastern Illinois University, is teaching her first year of high school English at M.G.H.S. Long a favorite fact on the Junior High faculty, Mrs. Fansler has added English 111 and IV to her daily regimen. Mrs. Fansler is always willing to help her students in any way she can. Mrs. Fansler and her husband, Vic, have two children, Ronnie, and Beverly, a sophomore at Eastern University. In her spare time Mrs. Fansler likes to read and play the piano. 12

MR. GEORGE BROWN, M.S., Southern Illinois University, is our science department head. His classes include chemistry, biology, general science, and physics. Always cheerful and ready to match wits with any of his stu- dents, Mr. Brown is a real favorite with his students- -except at test time. Extra duties befell Mr. Brown this year as a junior class sponsor. Directing the Junior Play and co-ordinating the Junior-Senior Banquet kept him extra busy. He and his wife have four children, David, Paul, Doug, and Susan. In summers, between camping trips of which he is extremely fond, Mr. Brown, manages the A W Root Beer Stand in Greenville. MRS. FLORENCE NEATHAMMER, B.S., Bethel College, is our social science instructor. Her daily routine includes sociology, government, American and world history, and geography. A sophomore class sponsor, Mrs. Neathammer is always willing to give of her time for school activities. Her vast library of historical information has been a big help to many students. Mrs. Neathammer and her husband, Jake, have a four -year-old son, Johnny. Reading is Mrs. Neathammer ' s favorite pastime. 11

MRS. MARGARET STUDEBAKER, B.S., Greenville College, is instructor of the newest academic subject to be added to the high school curriculum --Spanish. Her duties include classes in Spanish I and II in the high school plus teaching English in the junior high. One can always tell the Spanish room by the colorful posters and dis- plays. This year her classes presented Cinderella and Snow White in Spanish during the Talent Show at tlie Fall Festival. Mrs. Studebaker and her husband, Bob are the parents of a thirteen month old baby boy, Matthew LeRoy. In her spare time Mrs. Studebaker likes to knit and read. MR. GEORGE H. BARTON, B.M., Vandercook School of Music, Chicago, is one of the busiest men around M.G.H.S. Presenting programs of music at Spring Concert, Baccalaureate, Commencement, various P.T.A. meetings and school assemblies plus planning and directing the Fall Festival provide a major share of his duties. In addition to instructing girls ' chorus, concert and marching band, Mr. Barton also gives instructions in instru- mental music to grade school students. Mr. Barton and his wife have two daughters who, like their father, teach music. Mrs. Barton is a frequent spectator at musical functions here and the music department ' s best fan. An important member of the Barton household is Sandy, a cocker spaniel dog and the apple of his master ' s eye. 13
