THE 1962 ARROW MUKWONAGO UNION HIGH SCHOOL MUKWONAGO WISCONSIN DEDICATION Miss Anita Weier We, the Class of 1962, dedicate this ARROW to Miss Anita Weier, who, as your yearbook advisor, gave so generously of her time and talent —and who, as teacher, guided and directed us very ably along the paths of learning. 2 FOREWORD The 1962 ARROW has been published to capture a year between its covers. While we know that life at Mukwonago Union High School is a multitude of realities, which arc too intangible to be related in black and white, perhaps in some small way we can preserve the friendships which we all hold so dearly. If this book will serve to bridge the past and bring to mind the priceless memories of joy and pleasures of the year just gone, it will have served its purpose. With these thoughts, we proudly present to you, the students, your 1962 ARROW. THE ARROW STAFF CONTENTS DEDICATION 2 ADMINISTRATION 4 FACULTY 5 ORGANIZATIONS 15 ACTIVITIES 33 SPORTS 41 CLASSES 55 SENIORS 63 3 KENNETH C. HORN PRINCIPAL As you thumb through these PAGES, may they ever remind you of the many happy as- sociations, learning experiences and ideals de- veloped at Mukvvonago Union High School. May the P instill pride in doing your best, The A is for ambition to give your life zest; The G marks the goal you will one day at- tain, The E for education you will continue to gain; These five have started you out on your quest, May the S be your guide to a life of success. Kenneth Horn ADMINISTRATION CALVIN D. DANIELSON VICE PRINCIPAL Perhaps the most valuable result of all ed- ucation is the ability to make yourself do the things you have to do when it ought to be done—whether you like it or not. It is the first lesson that should be learned. I hope you have learned this lesson. My best wishes for your future. Cal Danielson 4 We met, discussed, and solved. And, we relaxed. And relaxed. Keeping up on current affairs is a serious business. Great minds consult the authorities. Bor our listening pleasure. Check-out counter—bargains galore! MUHS HEART OUR LIBRARY The library is the heart of our school. At least three-fourths of the members of the student body visit it every day of the week—not always to find the answer to some weighty problem—maybe only to read a magazine, listen to music or just to sit next to the “one and only”—but in general to do research, to read or to keep up with the news of the world. With so much activity involving so many students in the library at all times, there is no wonder why it is called the core of our school. Looking over the possibilities. iliif L'ffj Row 1: B.
