Thomas Huxley National Honor Society Nineteen new members were initiated into the National Honor Soc- iety at a candle-light ceremony on May 19, 1954. Later their parents were entertained at a tea. In order to become a member of the National Honor Society, a per- son must excel in leadership, must serve the school loyally, must pos- sess a good character and must have a ninety average, both in class work and conduct for at least two years. The officers of the society for this year: President, Allen Knurr; Vice-President, Ronnie Reinke; Secretary, Judy Enright. Mrs. Gevaart served as adviser and treasurer this year. BACK ROW - G.
