The gymnasium was deco- rated with streamers in various shades of lavender starting at the far end in a deep color and getting lighter as one came toward the stage. The walls were decorated in a typical Hawaiian manner. On the back wall of the stage was a huge painting of Waikiki Beach. The Grand March was led by King Carlton Sayer and Queen Ruth Bornfleth. The music was provided by Cullen Casey's Orchestra.
