Student Council The Student Council was composed of three members from each class. Their duties included planning the Homecoming and Christmas Party. The Freshmen placed Donna Wambold, Dorothy Van Valin, and Jim Clark on the Student Council; the Sophomores elected Ronnie Hanson, Doug Oberholtzer and Gene Smith; the Juniors chose Dale Orgas, La Verne Holtz, and John Dulka as their representatives; and the Seniors completed the Student Council by voting for Peggy Parker, Jerry Stemper, and Neil Barber. Mr. Horn acted as supervisor for the body. The officers for the Council were: John Dulka, President; Jerry Stemper, Vice President; and Donna Wambold, Secretary-Treasurer. Back Row D. Van Valin, J. Barber, R. Ahrens, B. Thronson, Miss Piper. National Honor Society Fifteen new members were initiated into the National Honor Society at a candle-light ceremony on May 23, 1951. Later, their parents were entertained at a tea. To become a member of the National Honor Society, a person must excel in leadership, must possess a good character, must serve the school loyally, and must have a ninety average, both in conduct and in class work, for at least two years. The officers of the club for this year were: President, Neil Barber; Vice President, Robert Ahrens; Secretary, Donna Horn. Miss Piper served as adviser and as treasurer.
