It was a tough game and Mukwonago came out on the wrong side of a 20-6 score. Our second game, a non-conference game, brought us our first scalp with a 6-0 victory over St. Mary's of Burlington. In our third game we scored another victory with a tally of 24-6. We went on to chalk up another win against the Aggies, 27-12. Our homecoming game was a real heart- breaker since Mukwonago lost to East Troy 12-0. Naturally one good turn deserves another, so, we upset Waterford's home- coming 12-0. Our last game was a 27-0 victory over Walworth, and so we placed third for the season. Earl Wiehl was our Captain this year. Earl Wiehl Back Row D. Barber, F. Luedtke, D. Orgas, G. Pugh, D. The quintet won the next two games from Union Grove and Wilmot. Final scores were M.H.S. 55, Union Grove 43; M.H.S. 49, Wilmot 41. East Troy avenged an earlier defeat by upsetting the quintet 49 to 42. Finally M.H.S. went to Rochester where we were trimmed 60 to 32. Back flow Mr. Danielson. R. Johnson. R. Behiing. G. Winkslmann. That is j'ust what the Mukwonago baseball team did in order to win second place in the league. Mukwonago lost the decisive game of the season to Wilmot. At East Troy in the opening game of the district tournament, the M.H.S. Indians defeated Whitewater, but they dropped the second game to East Troy. That brought the 1949 baseball to a close.
