Treichel, J. Schuyler. OndUan Jlo-ue Gall This Girls' Club, with its 61 members, participated in many activities this past year. In October, girls passed their initiation trials and joined the club. Those initiated wore long underwear with a huge horse blanket pin and hip or stadium boots. In the afternoon, an essembly program was held as part of the initiation. Some of the more fortunate girls were compelled to do acts for the amusement of the student body. June Jensen was the President of the club. Other officers were: Jane Schuyler, Vice- President, with Arlene Edwards and Donna Davis serving respectively as Secretary and Treasurer. Under the supervision of Miss Moen, the L.T.L. girls assisted with the Homecoming Dance and sponsored a formal which was called the Winter Whirl. During intermission a floor show was staged. Wartik, S. De Back. Under the direction of Mr. Holtz, our music department showed much progress during forty-seven and forty-eight. Our High School Band entered class A at the District Tournament on May eighth. This is the first time we have been in this classification. Eight students participated in a massed band concert at Burlington on February ninth, and sixteen singers joined in the Choral Concert there on March first. During this past year all of the organizations increased in size. There were sixty-eight participants in the Band and one hundred and twenty students in the A Cappella Choir. BACK ROW—M. Mohr, J.
