Senior Jlettesunesi The year 1948 saw twelve young warriors leave the Mukwonago battle front to their future hunting grounds. Chief Brave was Bob Schroeder. Bob won his first letter in basketball during his freshman year. Football and basketball provided him with a total of seven letters. Tony Feld can be called our medicine man and his first letter came while he was a freshman when he managed the basketball team. Letters in football and basketball gave him a total of five. Bob Dahms and Kurt Neumann each earned four fetters in football and basketball. Ray Craig, Larry Spellman, Dick Greenwald and Ted Robinson were winners of three letters in football. David Pett, Jim Money and Doug Shannon were summoned to the baseball diamond for two seasons and each won two letters. Don Ober- holtzer was the last brave to earn his letter which was awarded after playing football as a senior. Ted Robinson and Don Oberholtzer in 1948 won letters as cheerleaders in addition to their athletic prowess. 20

Hinz. 2uuj U tcj, 2 Uae ui The 1948 Arrow was published by the Annual Staff, a group of nine Seniors, selected by Mr. Horn, our Annual adviser. Responsibility for the Arrow was held by the Editor-in-Chief, Donald Hinz, and the Feature Editor, Lois von Dahlen. Bernice Taylor supplied the Senior news while Joyce Fraser and Joyce Hardaker reported the activities. Sports were covered by Douglas Shannon, and Diana Anich, Art Editor, furnished the designs and unusual decorations. Business matters were handled by Ruth Czarnecki while Delores Downs added the finishing touches to the material on the typewriter. 22
