MRS AQHFICKLING Biathlon is a relatively new sport at Muizenberg Junioro It is a combination of running and swimming. It gives our athletes a chance to show their alleround ability, A Western Province Team will be chosen in March 1985 so let's try to have a few Muizenberg Junior School pupils in the team. Q ATHLETICS Athletics has enjoyed popularity this year. We had over fifty participants at practices and the spirit was very keenn. l Our lnterhouse Athletics Meeting was won by Rhodes with van der Stel second and Diaz third, Our Victor Ludorum was Tom Hawkins and our Yictrix Ludorum was Mandy Johnson, Congratulations champions'! ,We sent a large contingent of athletes to the Buren Area Athletics ,Meeting and Mandy Johnson came third in the 800m race, Jodi Myers icame second in the 1000m race and Colin Milne first in the 100m and 75m races. These three athletes went to the Bellville Athletics ' Meeting which was a forerunner to the choosing of the Western Province iTeam.
