RAYMOND ENDY Attendance Officer Completing the strong background of education and learning, the secretarial staff and the custodians worked, so that the students would have the proper assist- ance and support while in school. Aside from their many clerical and secretarial duties, the secretaries took care of student communications with the administration, the publi- cation of the daily bulletin, admitting tardy students, and managing the lost and found department. ields The custodians set the stage for all school activity. Assuring everyone of a tidy classroom when he walked into it in the morning and maintaining and looking af- ter the heating, lighting, and other facilities were their chief assignments. They were never too busy, however, for a smile or a friendly word to a passing student. With the current affairs of the day, the contributions and assistance of these de- voted persons often went by unmentioned, but certainly not unrecognized. 27
