These plans for the new addition to Muhlenberg were released in early December, 1963. 3 Board Cf Education And Authority Form School's Chairman: MR. LESTER KAUFFMAN This year, Muhlenberg's Board ot Edu- cation molded all the necessary bricks ot planning tor the new school. They managed and supervised each vital deci- sion which included awarding contracts to construction companies, and deciding the arrangement and design of the new addition. However, this was not their only task. Though very seldom recognized or con- if gratulated for their ettorts, the board maintained a direct control over all school ' functions and policies. The Muhlenberg Township Authority advised concerning the financial matters for the school district. 5 3. 2 i i l AUTHORITY BOARD MEETS: Mr. Arthur C. Meliclc, vice-chairman, explains a bill during an Authority Board l meeting. From lett to right the members are: Mr. W. Lauer Huyett, Mr. Daniel Rcthermel, solicitorg Mr. Harold A. Stoudt, secretary, and Mr. John D. Fox, treasurer. I8
