Future mechrznicx soup upl' a jalopy Senior Boys Learn Auto Repair The basic principles of woodshop and mechan- ical drawing involve the care and the proper use of materials and tools . . . freshmen and sopho- mores learned the fundamentals of drafting in mechanical drawing . . . task of senior boys was to design their own homes . . . juniors learned drawing preparatory for engineering or drafting Helds . . . senior boys constructed complicated projects, including gun cases, modern desks, coffee tables in wood shop . . . designing, tracing, blue- printing were taught in mechanical drawing . . . small projects made by eighth grade boys in wood QUENTIN R. KEATH Mechaniral Drawing B.S. in Ed., Millersville State Teachers College shop were knick-knack shelves and jeweled cedar chests . . . the aim of both metal shop and graphic arts is to foster an active interest in industrial life and methods of production . . . seniors learned the art of making programs, posters, athletic schedules, letterheads, and name cards . . . senior high boys printed pass slips . . . embossed leather projects were also produced . . . metal shop classes made copper vases, trays, wastepaper baskets, and utility boxes . . . they also had auto repair shop in which they tore apart a senior boy's car and put it back together.
