Ray played cen- ter forward on the soccer team and was active in track. He also helps his father at the mushroom house. Raymond hopes to enter Drexel Institute to study engi- neei-ing. Richard Burkey Academic. Band 10. 11. 12. Orchestra 10. ll. 12. Science and music add zest to the lite ot this young man, whose main ambition is to be- come a chemist. Richard has played the clar- inet in the high school band for five years and the orches- tra for four years. To prepare for his profession Chick plans to attend Al- bright College. Richard Shadel Academic. Muhltohi 12. This lively lad comes from Tuckerton and may be seen participating in many activi- ties. In the winter, Dick may be seen trapping skunks or trav- eling along streams inspecting his muskrat traps. Dick's fa- vorite subjects are health and gym, While baseball and bas- ketball rate high among sports. On completing his high school education, Richard hopes to go to some trade school. Charles Speicher Academic. Charlie is one of the more jovial members of the class. Whenever there is something funny going on, there you can find Speed He rates German as his favorite pastime. He can often be found riding around in Dick's Ford. In the future, Charlie would like to join the Navy. May each wave be countless steps to success. Richard Hartman Academic. Paul is one of the quiet boys of the class and can be found either playing tennis with his side-kick Bob, or with his girl friend f'Io. Paul has also stuck faithfully to the track team, eating the cinders off Kiehl's shoes. Paul has hopes of entering college after school. Robert Brumbach Academic. Swimming ll, 12: Muhltohi 12. This jolly, dark-eyed lad from South Temple adds a lot to the senior class through his bright ideas and jokes. Bob gained his letter by his earnest Work as one of the Muhl's favorite Water ducks. Lank and slender, he cuts a fine figure and is just the right size for a ladies' man. Bob dreams of seeing the World through a porthole. Dominic Fioravanti Industrial. Muhltohi 12. Dixie is a short, blue-eyed blond. His favorite pastime is play- ing a guitar with local orches- tras. Besides this, this lad tries to imitate Donald Duck be- tween classes and sometimes in classes. ln the future, he plans to at- tend the Wyomissing Polytech- nic Institute for further study in industrial arts. Donald Linderman Albert Gaspari George Telliho Academic. Band 12: Orchestra 12: Chorus 11, 12. This handsome, brown-haired lad has never missed a day of school in his high school ca- reer. Girls don't bother him be- cause he spends most of his time playing the saxophone and piano. He is also inter- ested in photography. We Wish Donald the best of luck in becoming a draftsman, but Uncle Sam may decide his future for him. fffuklfok Academic. Soccer 11, 12: Baseball 11, 12. This husky six-footer is the baby of the senior class. He can often be seen driving a blue Ford on the Kutztown Road. Gus takes an active part in outdoor sports and rel- ishes gym as the most enjoy- able session of school. Al's main interest is a cer- tain lass at Temple University where he plans to further his studies as a pharmacist. 1' '45 T Academic George is one of the more bashful members and, inci- dentally, the only red-haired boy in the senior class. Tal is rarely seen With the opposite sex except in a strict- ly business matter. ln the future, Tal wishes to enlist in the Merchant Ma- rine. When you hear music about the school Harold is usually the cause, since he plays the piano and the slush pump. Harold took part in the sen- ior class play and served as accompanist for Mixed Chorus. After graduation, Harold plans to attend Eastman Music School or join the Navy. Frank Luerssen Academic. Orchestra 10, 11. 12: Chorus 10, 11, 12: Hi-Y 12: Dance Band 12: Ensemble 11. 12: National Honor Society ll, 12: Muhltohi 12. This tall, handsome lad is very popular among his class- mates. He is better known as Truck and can be seen driv- ing about in a red Pontiac coupe. Louie likes to fid- dle around music. In the future, he expects to enlist in the Navy. Heinz Nestler Industrial. Basketball 11, 12: Swim- ming 10, 11. 12: Muhlfohi 12. This good-looking fellow is one of the more comical fel- lows of the senior class and hails from Laureldale. He is popular with the teachers and also his classmates. He rates swimming, trap- ping and girls as his favorite pastimes. Skunkie can often be seen around Temple pool. Heinz has his mind set on entering the Marine Corps, Richard Sechrist Wayne Boyer Iames Hevalow Industrial. Muhltohi 12. Ha, hal This familiar noise can be heard when Zeke is taking part in class discussion. One of the most humorous and well-liked boys of the class, Zeke has a strange habit of knocking off from school during hunting and fish- ing season every year. Zeke hopes to take a course in plastics as preparation for a future occupation. Industrial. Muhltohi 12. Wayne is one of the few sen- iors not having a nickname. Bowling and roller skating occupy a good deal of his time, while his favorite hobby is photography. He spends his spare time after school tend- ing his rabbits and trapping muskrafs. After graduation, like most other senior boys, he intends to join Uncle Sam's Armed Forces. Academic. If you see a small, chubby, quiet fellow walking through the hall, it is none other than uhm... Iim's favorite subject is his- tory and all of his classmates see and hear him arguing with the instructor. After graduation he plans to join the Navy.
