Her favorite spot in town is the famous Chinese restaurant, where she can eat chicken chow mein. Irene is usually very happy with lots to talk about. She was the only member of the Commercial section who studied German. One of Becky's wishes after graduation is to own her own little novelty shop. Mary Iane Kearney Commercial. Girl Reserves 12: Muhltohi 12. Mary jane is one of the wit- tier girls in the senior class. Sis croons over the music of Harry james, and also en- joys the singing of Bing Crosby. In the future, I. hopes to become a private secretary to some high executive. Here's wishing her success. Shirley Heist Home Economics. Girl Reserves 12: Swimming 12: Muhllohi 12. Shirley, one of the shorter constituents, hails from South Temple. Shirt spends most of her time writing letters to a certain young sailor. Because she is fond of dancing, Shirley is often found at the Y on Sat- urday nights. Cuz hasn't any plans for the future. May she sail to success. Kathryn Carl Betty Weaver Ioan Clarke Commercial. Girl Reserves 12: Muhltohi 12. Tall, slim and jovial best de- scribe this light-haired senior lass. Kitty can often be seen in the halls having quarrels with members of the opposite sex, but she likes the fellows, es- pecially a certain Marine. Typing is her favorite sub- ject and in the future she would like to be either a typ- ist or hairdresser. Academic. Observer ll, 12: Chorus 10: Girl Reserves 12: Muhlfohi 12. What's that mountain of food? That's just Bettina at her favorite pastime and avo- cation, namely making and eating DagWood sandwiches. Fawn Brye Commercial. Chorus IU. ll, 12: Girl Reserves 12: Muhltohi 12 Fawn is one of the more humorous members of the class. You can always hear her tell- ing a corny joke, or arguing. FaWnie just loves pie. She eats it till she can't anymore and then eats some more. Splash! Splash! Swimming is Fawn's favorite sport. Pawn is undecided as to her future but thinks she might like to join the Canadian WACs. Ieanne Neher Commercial. Muhltohi 12: Girl Re- serves l2: Chorus 12: Observer 12. Whizz! That was Ieanne dashing into home room With her book, putting a few finish- ing touches to her latest poem. She can Always be seen Together with two other girls of the senior class. When you hear ooh's - ah's, you can be sure it's leannie swooning over some- one in a raincoat or a sleeve- less sweater. Olivia Large Academic. Observer 12: Girl Re- serves 12: Muhltohi 12. Five feet two with eyes of blue. To our high school she is new. Which are you, Nancy or lane? Answering that is a pain. If you ever heard a loud noise in English class, it was just Nancy quietly dropping her loafers off of her tired feet. Nancy hopes to attend Duke University to become a medi- cal technician. Rita Arnold Commercial. Muh1tohil2. Rita is one of the smallest girls in the class. She is a brunette, blue-eyed miss, who is especially interested in a certain Air Cadet. If you ever get to Reeser's Restaurant and see some shorty dashing around, it'll probably be Rita. When asked where her pep comes from, her an- swer is, l don't know, but this is fun! She is still undecided as to her future. Mae Breitegam Commercial. Muhltohi 12. This dark-haired, attractive lass is one of the quiet mem- bers of the class while in school. She is interested in several sports and can usually be found either roller skating or eating, which are two of her pastimes. She also has an in- terest in the Navy and can be seen writing letters. After graduation, she plans to be an office worker. Mabel Bower Academic. Girl Reserves 12: Muhltohi 12. This brown-eyed miss is of the talkative type. Mabel's favorite pastimes are reading and listening to Harry larnes. She considers typing tops and football as her major sport. Whenever the word Tillie is mentioned, a picture of some uproar comes to our mind, for wherever Tillie is, there is bound to be loads of fun. This energetic miss helped to cheer the basketball team to victory. She has also won many honors in swimming. We will always remember Till as being a swell dancer and a good sport. Catharine Deeds Commercial. Girl Reserves 12: Band IU, 11, 12: Orchestra ll. 12: Muhltohi 12. ls this not a picture to de- mand attention? This blond- haired, hazel-eyed miss is a member of the High School Band. Deedsy is an ardent base- ball fan and her secret pas- sion is to be a sports writer or a history teacher. Keep your eyes on Deedsy, for when she starts on the Sea of Life there will be some splash. Annette Hartz ell Academic. Now here is a girl who likes to know the whys and where- fores of things, for Skeeter is an enthusiastic member of the debating team. Annette's ambition is to be a legal secretary and in prep- aration is going to attend a business school. Thelma Lengle Academic. Girl Reserves: Observer Staff 11, 12: Muhltohi 12. This cheerful little ear full is never around when you want her. She is usually in the Observer room working on the school paper. Iournalism takes up most of her time. After attending college, Thel- ma's plans are rather indefi- nite, but with her journalistic abilities we are sure she will go write to the top. Iean Boltz Commercial. Muhltohi 12. Dorothy's interests lie in sports, mainly basketball and baseball. On the other hand, Dotty's pet peeve is people who do not co-operate.
