Erma Seidel Academic. Muhltohi 12. Erma is a short, blond- haired, blue-eyed miss who enjoys playing the piano. Erma is one of the more quiet girls of our class. She says she doesn't bother with the opposite sex, but we won- der who she enjoys writing to in the Army. Her plans aren't definite but Erma hopes to go to college and become a home economics teacher after graduation. Hazel Trexler Academic. Observer ll, 12: Muhl- tohi 12: Chorus 10, ll. 12: National Honor Society ll, 12. Yo gusto usted! Das ist rechtl and a few more languages and Hazel will have attained her goal-to become a linguist. Hazel likes to design and sew dresses for her manikin, and play the organ at weddings. Since Hazel has always had an eye for fashions, her secret ambition is to own an exclu- sive dress' shop on Fifth Ave- nue, N. Y. Fern DeHart Louise Erny, Doris Haus Commercial. Girl Reserves 12: Chorus 12. This lass formerly attended Reading High but thinks Muhl- enberg is super. She classes chorus as her best liked subject while cook- ing rates second. ' Fern likes to look through magazines for new hair styles and then try them. This ac- counts for her eagerness to be- come a beautician. May her waves be permanent. Commercial. Girl Reserves 12: Muhltohi 12. This brown-eyed, quiet miss has an active interest in sports and during her leisure hours can usually be found on a roller skating rink. Louise's favorite subjects are shorthand and typing. She has a deep interest in someone in the Navy. After graduation, Louise plans to attend college. The class wishes her success. Commercial. G. A. A. 10. ll, 12: Girl Reserves 12: Muhltohi 12. Hausy, one of the poetic members of the class, rates playing the guitar and writing hilarious poetry as her hobbies. Doris is interested in all forms of sport. Hausy, having no confidence in household du- ties, would like to become a lady leatherneck. LOOK!-It is not nec- essary to listen very long. Rosie is always ready for any kind of fun, and when there isn't any to be found, rely on her to start some. She is fre- quently found ujitterbuggingf' ln the future, Blondie ex- pects to be some doctor's sec- retary. Cooking for a certain Marine also interests her. Poor Marine! Muhltohi 12. Lee, the head majorette of the Kenhorst Drum Corps, has worked herself up to becoming the State Champion of Penn- sylvania. Her main interest is photo- graphic modeling, however, don't be surprised if you see her flying over the house tops in a P-40. Later, Lee intends to try cooking for a certain Marine. 12: Badminton 12: Debating 11, 12: Muhllohi 12. lf your pet dislike is break- fast cereal, why not do as Esther does-substitute soup as your main breakfast dish? Esther served as headline editor for the Observer and could often be heard saying, Where is your head? To become a nutritionist is Esther's ambition for the future. Madeline Nickliss Commercial. When you hear the excla- mation That's tough! look around and you will see a brown-eyed miss giving some- one her sympathies Midge can be seen jitter- bugging at dances, but she does not use all her pep, be- cause she is also a cheer- leader. She can Always be seen Together with two other girls of the senior class. Sarah lane Schweitzer Commercial. Muhltohi 12. Blonde hair, blue eyes, and one of the quieter members of the class-this is Sarah lane. She classes her favorites as Harry Iames, poetry, reading and a good joke. Sarah lane has the distinc- tion of being the youngest member of the class. Her intention is to obtain a position as a stenographer. The class wishes her luck. Arlene Fry Commercial. Muhltohi 12. Cutie Fry is one of the smallest members of the class. If there are any jokes to be told, Arlene is always present. During her spare time Ar- lene is usually writing letters to a certain sailor. She adores Bing Crosby and loves to dance to the music of Harry Iames. After graduation, Arlene hopes to become someones stenographer. Fawn Brye Commercial. Chorus IU. ll, 12: Girl Reserves 12: Muhltohi 12 Fawn is one of the more humorous members of the class. You can always hear her tell- ing a corny joke, or arguing. FaWnie just loves pie. She eats it till she can't anymore and then eats some more. Splash! Splash! Swimming is Fawn's favorite sport. Pawn is undecided as to her future but thinks she might like to join the Canadian WACs. Ieanne Neher Commercial. Muhltohi 12: Girl Re- serves l2: Chorus 12: Observer 12. Whizz! That was Ieanne dashing into home room With her book, putting a few finish- ing touches to her latest poem. She can Always be seen Together with two other girls of the senior class. When you hear ooh's - ah's, you can be sure it's leannie swooning over some- one in a raincoat or a sleeve- less sweater. Olivia Large Academic. Observer 12: Girl Re- serves 12: Muhltohi 12. Five feet two with eyes of blue. To our high school she is new. Which are you, Nancy or lane? Answering that is a pain. If you ever heard a loud noise in English class, it was just Nancy quietly dropping her loafers off of her tired feet. Nancy hopes to attend Duke University to become a medi- cal technician. Rita Arnold Commercial. Muh1tohil2. Rita is one of the smallest girls in the class. She is a brunette, blue-eyed miss, who is especially interested in a certain Air Cadet. If you ever get to Reeser's Restaurant and see some shorty dashing around, it'll probably be Rita. When asked where her pep comes from, her an- swer is, l don't know, but this is fun! She is still undecided as to her future. Mae Breitegam Commercial. Muhltohi 12. This dark-haired, attractive lass is one of the quiet mem- bers of the class while in school. She is interested in several sports and can usually be found either roller skating or eating, which are two of her pastimes. She also has an in- terest in the Navy and can be seen writing letters. After graduation, she plans to be an office worker. Mabel Bower Academic. Girl Reserves 12: Muhltohi 12. This brown-eyed miss is of the talkative type. Mabel's favorite pastimes are reading and listening to Harry larnes. She considers typing tops and football as her major sport.
