She spent the time in her favorite class in designing attractive dresses. Mary intends to study commercial art and design- ing. This dark-haired, brown- eyed senior is very fond of poetry, enjoying both to read and write it. She was prominent in all Girl Reserve activities in her senior year because she was program chairman. Jane plans to enter the nursing profession. Dorothy Schubert Commercial. Girl Reserves 12: G. A. A. 10, 11, 127 Bowling Club 12: Munlmhi 12. "Dot" rates bowling as her favorite pastime. She also was seen "renting" the var- ious sports in G. A. A. Shakespeare, ice skating and Ty Power are "ace high." "Dee" would like to fur- ther her education at a state teachers college. i. This brown-haired lass is one of the more talkative members of the senior class and enjoys a good argument. t'Shorty" towers to the great height of 5 feet. ln af- ter-school hours she enjoys listening to Sammy Kaye's orchestra. Sewing, cooking and Eng- lish are this light-haired miss's favorite subjects while reading, hiking and writing letters to a soldier take up most of her spare time. "Junie" is uncertain as to what she will do after grad- uation, but eventually she would like to become a housewife. Irene Hildebrand Commercial. "Renee," a slender brown- eyed lass, rates shorthand and dancing "tops." Much of her spare time is devoted to raising an orange plant and collecting records. Ardelle Deist Academic. Girl Reserves 12: Muhnnhi 12. A talkative, popular lass is Ardelle who rates red coats as "tops," Her interests center around the air corps and merchant marine. After s c h o o l, Ardelle "dishes out the cream" in a city confectionery store. "lJedie" intends to enter a school ol' nursing. May her way be smooth. Elsie Moll Academic. Cheerleading 12: G. A. A. 10, 11, 121 Girl Reserves 125 Track 10: Muhltohi 12. This small jolly miss hails from Molltown. Because she led cheers at basketball games, Elsie could often be heard saying, 'tCom- ing to the game tonight?" Elsie's ambition is to be- come a nurse. May all your thermometer readings spell success. Katherine Behm Commercial. Whizz! Who was that? Oh. that was Katherine who just went by in her gray Ply- mouth. She is often seen jitter- bugging, which she enjoys as well as driving. "Kass" as she is better known by her classmates, also enjoys a good joke. Best wishes for success from your classmates. Brown - haired, laughing- cyed "Ermie" is "all out" for music, rating this as her fa- vorite subject and hobby. Camp Fire Girl activities also have taken much of her time since seventh grade. Erma plans to become a nurse after graduation. Fern Dautrich Commercial. Despite Fern's quiet dis- position she can frequently be seen 'tcuttin' rugs" to the tune of Harry James' or- chcstra. Being a sports fan, she es- pecially likes skating, bi- cycling and basketball. A t' t e r graduation Fern would like to do office work. Betty rates office practice and shorthand as her l'avor- ite subjects and during her senior year, she served as secretary to C. D. Getz, Eng- lish teacher, and Mrs. M. C. D. Wertz, civics teacher. Although q u i t e small, "Shorty" has a hearty laugh and likes a good joke. After graduation Betty plans to get an ollice posi- tion. lVlay she pick the "Shorty-est" way to sue- cess. Barbara Arnold Academic. G. A. A. 10, 11, 12: Debating 10, 11: Horizon Cluh 121 Chorus 12: Observer 11, 12: Muhltohi 11, 12. This brown-eyed lassie was kept very busy by her many activities. She was often found in the gym refereeing girls' basketball games, in her capacity as co-manager of the G. A. A. "B, B." is undecided as to her future but the class of V13 wishes her luck. Gloria Kulikowski Commercial. Chorus 12: Girl Reserves 12: Observer 11, 12: Muhltohi 11, 12: Bowling Club 12. Glo was secretary ot' the class in her junior and sen- ior years. She also was sec- retary to R. S. Leinbach, geography teacher and W. I. Reed, bookkeeping teacher. Gloria rates tap dancing and going to the movies as her favorite pastimes. Good luck, Gloria. A. 10, 11, 12. ll' you admire dull and cheerless people, be sure to stay away from "Steinie," who is one ol' the fun-loving girls of the senior class. 'l'his lass is an ardent ad- mirer ol' the United States Navy and llarry James. "Betts" hopes to continue her shorthand and typing in a secretarial position. Elizabeth Weber Commercial. Girl Reserves 121 National Honor Society 12. Betty, a quiet miss, spends much time crochcting, read- ing and sewing. Shorthand and ollice prac- tice rank high with Betty, who served as secretary to J. W. White, mathematics teacher, and Miss Grace llartinan, secretary to Su- perintendent C. E. Do you hear music? lt' so, Betty is probably in front of it. This popular lass with her two gold batons was seen twirling with our school band.
