Wanda holds the record of being the shortest girl in the class of '40. In the future she intends to bedeck those blonde locks with a white nurses' cap and maybe become an air hostess. Success to you, Wanda! Gladys Hoover Academic: Chorus 125 Typing Club 125 Girl Reserves 12. This titian haired, blue- eyed miss was an active member of the Girl Reserves, serving as decoration chair- man and representative to the winter conference at Allentown. Glady's hobbies include reading and playing tennis. Hoover hopes to take up secretarial work after grad- uation and later cleaning for a certain young minister. Ethel Shearer Academic: Orchestra 10, 11, 125 Little Theatre Club 125 Observer 125 Girl Reserves 125 Quill and ScroII12. Besides having attained the highest rank in Camp Fire, that of Torchbearer, and receiving the Red Cross Sen- ior Life Saving award, this curly-haired miss found time to tickle the ivorys in the school orchestra for four years. She also spends much time reading and sewing. After graduation Ethel is planning to study music at West Chester State Teachers College. This jolly miss, who serv- ed as president of the Photo- graphy Club and treasurer of the Girl Reserves during her senior year, is quite popular with her classmates. Spooks places bicycle riding, traveling, skating and dancing on her list of favorite hobbies. Most of her spare- time is spent in reading a good book. Dot is one of the quiet members of the class and one of the few girls who en- joy sewing. She makes many of her own clothes. Other favorites of this blue-eyed miss are playing the piano and reading. Doing things - at home, sports of all kinds, and danc- ing are among the favorite pastimes of this energetic senior.
