There will also be m a n y improvements made to the Physical Ed- u c a t i o n Department. Here the process will be more of a rounding-out in order to place the courses offered on a level with those at other institutions. Plans call for more emphasis on Speech in the English Depart- ment. This involves greater radio and foren- sic activity. P u b l i c BRE TEH Speaking is one of the most important phases in the education of American students to- day. Muhlenberg Col- lege Wants to be among the leaders in giving this instruction to its stu- dents. Other plans call for the strengthening of the Social Science Depart- ment. The basic ele- ments of the business and history courses are here but again, as in many other cases, it is a question of rounding- Out. ln general, Within the next few years, there Will be a broadening and strengthening of the en- tire curriculum involv- ing both course and fac- ulty improvement.
