Pastor in Westmoreland County, Pa., 187 6-77. Vice-Principal of the Keystone State Normal School and Professor of Mathematics, Kutztown, Pa., 1877-81. Professor of Latin, German and English at Gustavus Adolphus College, 1881-85; Asa Packer Professor of Natural and Applied Sciences at Muhlenberg College, 1885-97, and since then Professor of Mathematics and Astronomy- The first alumnus to be elected to a professorship at Muhlenberg.
