Welcomed by the paddle, greeted with disdain; Things were strange at first, each of us a kid. But we began to like this place, acting as others did. Sophomores! A year looked forward to; Hendrix had a broken arm, Mary Byrd the flu. Glamorous hair-dos; lipstick on spoon and cup. Let the world know it, we were growing up! As Juniors, in Spring Fever, our talents were given a chance. Our social life high-lighted by the Junior-Senior dance. We sold candy at recess and made a lot of money And the many fusses that we had now seem just plain funny. As Seniors we have reached the top; We dread the time our fun must stop.
