' I l r' his year there was a place for everyone to get involved, if you just looked hard enough. Whether you were a brainy kid or a rowdy one, there was a niche for you. The addition of Student Government's suggestion barrel put your ideas into action. Besides the obvious sports and clubs, many other opportunities existed to get involved. How to get involved? For the creative type, there was Newspaper or Yearbook, Art Clubs, Drama productions, and music or choral groups. The Academic Decathalon or Math Team were ways to get involved in Academics. During lunchtime, you could get involved by staying on campus and doing a lip-sync or participating in other noon activities. Dress-up days were always a popular way to get involved and show your Pioneer Pride. Q 5 Lu M 5 3 ff t s l 32 721 f X N if M .,y r-, f . .- QM 1 ', T N. if 'T7f' it if Q. ' . A -sw. It would be impossible to get through a day of school, let alone a full school year without a buddyl to confide your deepest secrets to or somebody to laugh and ioke with. Friends are the people you eat lunch with, gossip with, study with, and have fun with. l How to be a friend? You should be someone who is trustworthy, under- standing, and able to overlook faults. To be a good friend you must always give plenty of support and encouragement. Loyalty and dependability are two quali- ties a good friend should also have. Most of all you should accept your friends for what they are. A true friend is a treasure. i introduction '
