allafagtwm Virginia Creehan is a very brainy girl, who Has been a swell addition to the roll of Twelve A two. You know Ray Brannon is an expert terpsichorean Who practised dancing with a pillow-now just watch that man. He daily ate two cuts of cake to make his temper sweetg Tom Winn is now the nicest guy you'd ever Want to meet. Lou Renkus plays some soccer so that he can get in trim To be a soda jerker-at least that's what's said of him. Among our classmates there is one whois travelled to japan, And he has been to Europe too-Ward Powell's the lucky man. Watch out for Sally Daniels, lads, she's got a powerful arm- Of course if you behave yourselves, she- won't do any harm. No one can really blame the lads, for one would call her swell, And Mary Joseph seems to handle double trouble well. Ann Baylis is an athlete of the finest type they sayg She's in the very upper crust of Mt. Lebanon's G.A.A. You ought to see her play the piano, dance, or act, or sing- O Bud, that Peg Matheny gal can do 'bout everything! Dot Massick was the program chairman of the Girl Reserves, And every bit of praise she gets there's no doubt she deserves. Though Charles now runs the business of this book, The part of back stage manager he oft and ably took. A girl with a winning smile and lots of charming ways Is Janie Fuchs who causes all the boys around to gaze. Bill Boore was caught while chasing flies in Spanish class one day And had to write three thousands words, a penalty for play. Among the many pretty girls one can find few so fair Or nice as this petite brunette whose name is Jean St. Clair. In choosing girls Largey's favorite color must be green- At least one might suppose it sog he's always seen with jean. There is a blonde in Twelve A two who's really got the stuff- Dot Seltmann surely has a class play actor in a huff. Her studies are ace-high, they say, but sports are just her meat g When Barbara Jeanne gets up to bat, she's dashed hard to beat. 'Tis told that brains and beauty too are seldom found together- Babs Babbitt has disproved this law, 'cause she's both cute and clever. He's swell out on the football field, and on the stage he's rare- This fellow, girls, fnamed Bakerj, is the answer to your prayer. Mary Jane Fitch's diamond glitters 'round the whole band-roomy We hear told 'round that there's to be a wedding very soon. He's tall, tan, terrific, this strong and silent man, None other than Loren Lashbrook-the girls all think he's grand. She gets around and laughs a lot, all done in peppy zest- This petite blonde, yes Martie Linn, is good sport at its best. Fred Harlan, master consultant of any music ever- You'll find no better drummer nor Faust singer-never! When you see red hair coming, regal as a queen- With Scotty following close behind-we'll bet it's titian Jeanne. There's one boy, tall and lanky fellow, named Myron Boatman-and He's the one that beats the drum in Mt. Lebanon's High School band Quite sophisticated looking-that cutie, Mary Lee, And when you get to know her she's as swell as she can be. 24

The Rirne of the Ancient Senior I wish I were a mystic who could see the future clearg But since I'm not a prophet, I will try to bring you cheer With tales about your comrades who to you have been so dear. There's Roland Bowman, actor, who has built a little car! He's done a lot to garner fameg we think he should go far. And you know Mary Frances Connor, head in 116, Who eats her lunch from Dotty's plate Qin case you haven't see-nj. In Barclay's poetry we see what Norma's love' can dog In fact we call him poet laureate of Twelve A two. One girl among the class play cast already had some fame, For Dotty Douglas has been acting ever since she came. When looking back on high school years, remember Bob with Jean? For Sands or Faris when apart are seldom ever seen. Among the very greatest brains, Louise's stands quite high, It's someone like that Wible girl who makes us dumb ones sigh. And then there's Roy McCutchen who boasts math his greatest forte- He's often been a help to us with minds of weaker sort. If being in two operettas gains a gal some fame, Then we agree that Bobbie Quail has earned herself a name. Behind a fierce mustache Jack Klippel acted as a cop- His victim on the stage was the only guy he'd ever stop. Don Lewis is an athlete who has other talent too- You see he is an artist who hangs out in Twelve A two. Though famed for brains, our Isabelle, the one and only Gup. Has done a lot around the school while keeping her grades up. When glancing o'er the high school roll, remembering who was there Recall Don Russell, tenor, he's the guy who grows the hair. Our tennis star, and actor too, has helped the class to rank, He's made himself an envied name-you know him-he's George Blank And when you all grow old and gray, remember Edna Didion, One of the nicest gals to know-believe me, that's no kiddin'! Lee Fischer is a playwright Qas if you didn't know itjg Perhaps he is a poet, too, though he doesn't show it. Two cousins who have proved that niceness is a family trait Are Paul Daube and Loretta Daube-two kids we know are great. Jean Evans is a girl who really tickles all those keysg She's one out of a thousand who can make a piano please. Someone who doesn't know might think that Musgravels been so bright Because, instead of courting girls, he studied every night. Who wants a prima donna can find one in Twelve A two g She's Shirley Handel to whom acting isn't new. In trying to get in the mood to act his part so well, Bob Penman gave up bachelorhood-what now, no one can tell! To be a good wall flower demanded all her acting craft, For if you think that Ginnie Dickey's one off stage-you're daft. He used to play at war, and he was then a soldier strong, But Kendall plays with girls now, and seems to like a throng. At dancing Ellen Copeland can be easily called tops- That's why we always hear of her attending proms and hops. 23

Tom Moore has quite the yen to dissect worms and also crayfishg Perhaps he'1l be a butcher and satisfy his wish. He's quite the soda-jerker when the summer rolls around- That peppy Warren Deemer in Sun Drug is always found. That little bit of pulchritude who has Bob on the yank- That cute brunette, a G. R. girl, of course we mean our Hank . She's quiet as a mouse in school, she rarely says a word. But just the same we know she's there-that nice girl Frances Burge A blonde, by jove, approved by gents-a special gent named Irv A niftier number can't be found with Alyce Donges's verve. The one who looks so studious in classrooms every day- He's maestro Allen Hurford, thinking up new tunes to play. I've heard it said so often that beautyis just skin-deep, Marg Kerrigan's good proof that those statements just don't keep. That rapid talking editor of our school's Lantern Shines Is none other than Ralph Kallock, the one behind headlines. The G. R. girl who has Bob Holmes astanding on his ear Is Bernie Linnert, blonde and cuteg Bob says she's just a dear. Another bit of prettiness, the vamp in Growing Pains Is Ginny Kraber-red head-cheerleader at the games. The man behind the Growing Pains -the up and coming playwright, Jim Looney, we're expecting you to rise to fame all right. Eternal cut up always into everything around- A ticket barker . opiy singer, Jack Wilson-12 A's clown. Bill Tattersall, the perfect mate for comedy renown, For Wilson's puns he's quite the foil-another 12 A clown. Another robust fellow for our calendar of fame- He's tall and strong, good natured too, john Hutchison's the name. She's always ready with a smile, that charming, small coque-tte 5 She's Hazel's pal and loads of fun-yes, we mean Bernadette. The pensive blonde who walks the halls with Al, arm in arm, Is striking Martha McGee, just radiating charm. Alan Schriver's quite the chap for doing pantomime, This gift may lead to fame. Say, Al, we'll see you in the Times , A girl who's sure to make her mark in days that are to come Has made swell marks in school right now-Norma, quiet one. The spittire' of the class play-38's Kate Cornell- Jane Robinson's the one I mean, and I mean she does swell. Irv Roche, the future chemist, who appears so very cool, Is swell fun on a party, but he just won't fool in school. Bets Shanor, tall, brunette, and cute, whose smile is something swell Is the reason that Kiski boy hangs around, or so the gossips tell. That red head, john Kernan, we hear goes in for riding bikes, Though it's hard work, at any rate, it's easier than hikes. Ed Russell's just another fan for sports-but baseball's first- Seeing him in action you know why he has this sporty thirst. The other one who's suffering too, to write this silly rime- Scholastically and socially swell-Come, Schreiner, rise and shine! Perhaps in vain we've just reviewed these schoolday pals, but when You go on through to college too, read this for times' sake then- Recalling all the fun we had way back there. Now-Amen!
