ff-.1 r' 0 ii J F4' 0 4 To most of the kids he is Doc, The man who can work 'round the clock. With our basketball fame Is connected his name. Mr. Milneris the coach of the flock. Our new teacher comes from U. C. To teach us some biology. So if science you crave And you wish to behave, See Miss Braden immediately. A great love for numbers she hath, Miss Fredricks, our teacher of math. Equations, exponents, And coffee and dough-nuts, These things are right down her path. Though the language she teaches is dead, She puts life in our annual, 'tis said. But our capable chief Heaves a sigh of relief When the Zem Zem has been put to bed. Would you learn to sew a fine seam, Or how to cook mushrooms in cream? Miss Grijj'in's the one To whom you should run. In Home Ec. she is on the beam. If French is the language you choose, Of course, you must see Mrs. Hughes. She'll also excel In English as well. And no aid does she ever refuse. Now this one we call Mrs. K. CHer full name is too long to say.J When we call her Sweets, With disfavor it meets. 'Cause she's Mrs. Kalkbrenner today. May we introduce now Miss Krick? In business she takes every trick. A smart dresser, she, As you will agree, Who teaches us arithmetic. A nifty baton does she wield To which the musicians do yield. She is Miss McClure. To meet her, be sure. She's one of the best in her field. Miss Miller? She comes from Kentucky And we think that we-all are lucky To have her around. There's no better found. She's peppy and friendly and plucky. We'd like you to meet now Miss Smyth, Whose science is not just a myth. Sheis a teacher thatis true In algebra, too. And a very good pal to be with. The head of our own L. G. D. Is new to the high faculty. When allis said and done, Mrs. Soller's the one . Who looks after our school library. If a typist you're wishing to be, Mrs. Trippel is whom you should see. Then when you pound the keys No doubt you will please And bring to our Mrt some more glee. The smartest of pets is a catia, Belonging to Mrs. Van Atta. The senior class play ls right down her way. Now that is the finish of that'a. PAGE TWELVE

SENIOR CLASS In September of 1941, 129 Freshmen entered upon a four-year voyage, not a little frightened and feeling that the journey was indeed long. As time passed, we became acquainted with high school procedure, and it was no time before We were known as Sophomores. What a thrill to call other kids Freshies! .Most of us survived World History and enough other subjects to make our way into the Junior Class. Juniors! With this title came the fun of organizing our class to plan activities, chiefly the Prom for those Seniors. All too soon we became thc Senior Class, with new responsibilities and duties. After electing officers, the members eagerly awaited the arrival of our class rings. They came! Of course we were told that they did not insure our graduation, but they gave us an air of importance, nevertheless. Measurements for caps and gowns! Again that warning that even this did not mean that we were assured of wearing them. But we could hope. And now consideration of commencement announcements and per- sonal cards makes us realize that the end of our journey is quite near. As we are about to leave M. H. H. S., we bequeathe some of our cherished possessions to members of the lower classes, and accept from them the prophecies they make regarding our future. Bon voyage!
