To belong to the National Honor Society is one of the highest honors a senior can attain during his high school career. Members are selected by a committee of the faculty on the basis of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. These seniors have many opportunities to obtain scholarships and financial assistance for their college education by taking competitive tests, writing essays, and in other ways. Advised by Miss Elizabeth Howard, the society is very active in group affairs. Officers: President, Corinne Snyder, Vice President, Louise Justing Secretary, Rose- mary Karyckig Treasurer, Frances Smigel. Adviser: Miss Elizabeth Howard. THE GOLDEN KEY Seated. Left to Right-C. The Golden Key is a newly formed honor society for those students not taking the academic course. The requirements for membership are high, and these seniors are to bc commended for their scholarship, participation in school affairs, aptitude, and initiative. The advisers, Miss Regina Shovlin and Mr. Gerald Breslin, are proud of the members inducted at the February initiation ceremony. These students will serve as models for others in all they do, during and after their school days.
