Athletics, Health The special education curriculum has been developed to meet the needs, abilities, and interests of the individual student. The teachers make an effort to have each stu- dent feel that he, or she, is a part of the student body and that as a member they have something to contribute. Physical Education and Health attempt to train the body and the mind. These classes encourage individuals to assume an increas- ing responsibility for self direction and for the development of their potentialities. ln Journalism, Mrs. Boynton combines a study of newspaper and newspaper work with intensive experience in writing. ln addi- tion to practical writing, students receive help in developing the power of observation, habits of promptness, and skills of accuracy essential for newswork. Mr. Bronson has given each member of the Photography class an opportunity to learn the basic techniques of picture taking, enlarging, tintlng and mounting.
