Using the theme, “a song of praise to our school and its per¬ sonnel, ” the 1952 “Airmont” features the school song and - a musical motif. Honoring the school administra¬ tion, the dedication reads: “To the: administration—school boafd, superintendent, and principal 181 1 mm ' —, oiHa school whose praise we sing, weB gratefully dedicate this fipst issue of ‘Airmont.’” |!p. I. Monday, representing the school board; L. B. Fendergrabh, superintendent; and H. M. Finch, |piincipal, leceived the first copies | oftthe annual in assembly. Year¬ books were also presented to Mrs. Kate Barringer, who submitted the winning name, “Airmont,” Miss Jean Simpson, advisor, the editors, and staff members Jeanne Gwyn, picture editor, Jackie Vog- ler, Betty Royal, Jeanette Mor¬ gan, Sonny Cashwell, Patri Taylor, Barbar a blrehflL , a Smith Holcomb.
