Toros Begin ntering the assem- bly gave the feeling of excitement. Even though this was the second pep assembly, this one was different: it was to kick off the first football game of the season, and that's one thing that definitely excites Toros. To start the event off, Coach Parker introduced the varsity football players, the girls went wild. To keep the crowd's spirit up the Varsity Cheerleaders per- formed a cheer. Before long it was time for the class competition. Two stu- dents Ca boy and a girly from each class were called down. They had to feed each other a banana while blind folded, and lying head to head. The Sophomore's proved to have the biggest mouths by winning the contest. Later the students and teachers were entertained by pillow people, who danced around the gym, the whole place roared with laughter. The assembly was just what was needed to pep up everyone's spirits for the very successful football game played that night against Westwood. The score was Mountain View 31, Westwood O. The Varsity Cheerleaders lift the spirits of the crowd by lead- ing them in a very successful cheer. As the assembly goes on, the football players sink deeper into thought about the football game to be played that evening, against Westwood. Colleen Brower and Trisha Ec- cles enter the assembly dressed up to show their spirit. 18 Westwood Assembly
