Varsity cheerleaders are portraying the Westwood cheerleaders in a cheer called Watermelon. Pommie jennifer Richardson en- joys herself while performing to the song Can'r Be Beat . l Varsity cheerleader janell Hyslope tells the students than the time has COYTIC fill' the IWCSOYDK TOFOS. Varsity cheerleaders proudly hold up a sign to let the student body know that the Toros can't be beat. Coach Parker proudly introduces his '82 varsity football ream during one part of the assembly. Greg Thomu participates in one of our clas competitions and, lilte a typi- cal senior, wins. Teamwork. oros canlt be beat was definitely the thought of the student body at the Westwood assembly. The assembly was to start off our '83 football season and to let Coach Parlcer and his players lcnow that the school backs them up IO0727 of the way. The assembly was filled with excitement. The atmosphere was stimulating and as the students piled into the gym, they knew that the Toros coulcln't be beat. During the assembly a class competition was performed, the pommies danced, and the varsity cheerleaders cheered. Sophomores Run It off y the time 7th hour rolled around nervousness was the only known emotion felt hy the sophomores that ran for an office, In a few minutes they would know the results of the election. All the candidates were in the office when Mr. Anderson came in and said they should pick up their posters, then he would tell them the results. After the posters were down the candidates ran hack to the office expecting to find out who had wong surpris- ingly they were told that there would he a run off for every office position. After another hectic day of voting, the elections were over!
