This is exactly what took place three weeks into the school year. The defini- tion clearly states the obvious but does not reveal the behind-the-scene actions. Tension and frustration are two words that best provide an idea of what the days before the final voting were likej As the candidates made posters, got teacher recommendations, and prepared their speeches, the Sophies were given the opportunity to decide for themselves who would become their leaders. The race began with much anxiety and enthusiasm and continued this way through to the bitter end. After two days of voting, the election was finally over!
