5 - T 'gh f , .iv- 'fsiitn-'A' SL. l Mountain View Academy's Annual Fall Picnic was held at Willow Glen Park in San jose. A tug-of-war was the first event of the day. Next on the agenda was the boys' and girls' softball throw, followed by the 50 yard dash and the 100 yard dash. The last event of the mornings track events over, the boys settled down to football. The junior and senior girls began their softball game. After lunch, the annual football battle between the juniors and seniors took place. Elder Morris Venden became a key figure on the Mountain View Academy campus as guest speaker for the Fall Week of Devotion. Elder Venden's main point was that it is impossible for us to fight sin and win. As Christians, we have better success if we let Christ fight Satan for us. Elder Venden explained the difference between the fight of faith and the fight of sin. He told us how to fight the fight of faith by Bible study and prayer.
