DEDICATIG We of the 1958 Annual Staff wish to dedicate this year book to a person who in the words of a leading educator of this state, Is one of the most outstanding young men of his profession in the state- of Arkansas. A person to whom students and faculty members alike can go with their problems with complete assurance that full consideration will be given. A person whose inspirational leadership during his six years as an administrator of our school system has brought state and national recognition to Mountain Home High School --our Superintendent, Mr. Bentley Stracener. ir l SUPERI TE DE T'S MESSAGE In this modern age of rockets, guided missiles, satellites, and high taxes we find the youth of our country concentrating on blue jeans, hot rods, and rock and roll music. Many would criticize the youth of today for this seemingly unconcern about the seriousness of our time. To me this lack of serious thought is in keeping with the times, for the emotion of this country is one of excitement. It is natural for the youth to be geared to a faster rate then the youth in past generations. The thing that disturbs me is the hesitancy of our present adults to have faith and give responsibility to the youth of our country. Our present society must recognize that young people want to be included in the making of tomorrow's plans. They have valuable con tributions, and after all they are the ones who will be in control of the future regardless of who plans it.
