SANDS John Bunyun Sands, a beloved teacher in the Mountain Home school system, was suddenlytaken from our midst by death in late January. No other teacher had ever served in as many different schools within the Mountain Home system as hadMr. Sands, who had taught at ClarkRidge, Midway. Central Grade School and in the junior-senior high school buildings. Mr. Sands was a friend to all with whom he had contact. He ex- emplified a true spirit of faith, humility, friendliness, kindness, a seeker after knowledge and truth. His life was dedicatedto the youth of our community, especially to those whom he taught and to the boys who were led and uplifted by his influence. Mr. Sands exemplified true greatness, and the memory of his ex- ample and influence will serve as an inspiration to all of us who knew and loved him. Lives of great men all remind us, We can make our lives divine: And departing leave behind us Footprints on the sands of time.
