Vocabulary enlarge- ment, students' errors inusage and spellingpffective sentence structure, and writing and speech activities are included in the units of work. Read- ing material offers an introduction to the types of literature. Emphasis in English lll is plac- ed on effective speaking and writing, using American literature as a back- groundfor study. InEnglish 1V em phasis is centered in the classics of literature, with development of po- lish in speaking and writing techni- ques. At the right are Dean Ricke and Deanne Choate tape recording in an English ll class. Ti, The library is used constantly every period of the day. It con- tains approximately l35O books. In addition, the State Library in Little Rock sends the high school library 2 3 5 books each year. There are reference books, edu- cationalbooks, fiction, non-fict- ion books, magazines, and news- papers in the library this year. Mary Jones resigned during the year.
