778216 Emphasis was based on the practical ap- plication of mathematics to everyday life this year in Mr. I-Iackler's classes. The classes designed their dream homes with the approximate cost of it. Shown at the right is Bill Smith with his model dream home. F612 C To speak and read in French has been the objective of Mrs. Gilbert's French department. The emphasis has been on spoken French and translation. Shown at the right is joan McGuire translating a paragraph. The emphasis with the geometry stu- dents this year was in developing logical thinking, to be able to recognize squares and circles and to apply them to every- day life. Dickie Dahlen is shown at the left demonstrating a geometry problem in Mrs. Gilbert's class.
