IT’S GREAT TO BE A CAVALIER! qi = To be part of the Mt. de Sales student body is to experience a certain something, not easily defined, but a definite knowledge that we are all part of something very special. It begins with tradition. MDS has produced more than its share of champion- ship teams over the years, but the Cavalier spirit goes deeper than victories and region titles; it reaches into the heart, where the values of competition, honest effort, and valiant sportsmanship are formed. It is characterized by a positive attitude which does not easily accept defeat. It is demonstrated when we applaud our classmates for their achievements, when we turn out in the parking lot to send our softball team off to the state playoffs, and when we listen in silence when one of our own speaks of his love for MDS and its people.
