Friends and Neighbors Every year, we have visi- tors who come to speak to us, talk with us, instruct us, and just share a day or two. Sometimes we forget who they are and why they were here. On these two pages are pictured those who were our friends and neighbors in 1984-1985. yy tk At the beginning of the Advent season, we attended an assembly which helped increase our awareness of the “holy days’’ which awaited us. On hand to speak were Reverend Roy Dial, pastor of Cross Keys United Methodist Church, Mrs. Carolyn Garvin, who chairs the MDS Religion Department, Father John Kenneally, pastor of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, and Rabbi Ronald Goldstein of Temple Beth Israel. A longtim e friend of MDS, Father John Cuddy of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, is pictured here giving the traditional blessing to Shannon Powell of the Class of For the second year in a row, Sister Jeremy Daigler, R.S.M. visited MDS in her role as Vocations ‘85, on Moving-Up Day, 1984. Director for the Sisters of Mercy, Province of Baltimore. She spoke to New Testament classes in Rose Place, describing the vocations of the Sisters of Mercy.
