We have thirty members in our club, nine of whom are new this year. The theme for this year is F,H.A, Workers Make for Good Homemakers . The following are the officers for the year: President, Judy Dickey, Vice President, Julia Guinther, Secretary, Neva Miller, Treasurer, Arlene Clark, Student Council, Judy Lustg News Reporter, Barbara Neff, Historian, Dorothy Blaserg Parliamentarian, Virginia beuthold. The advisor is Mrs. Betty Weaver: the club mothers are Mrs. Wilbur Lust and Mrs, Warren Dickey. In July the old and new officers attended the training camp at Mt. Gilead, Ohio. This was an all-day meeting where the officers became acquainted with their duties. Our booth at the County Fair was named Careers in Homemaking and our State Fair exhibit was From Weed gatlch to Home They proved to be very good as we received first premium ribbons and first premium money for ot . Our first activity at school was installation of new officers and initiation of new members. The meeting was held at the school house and the mothers were our guests. The fall rally was he ld at Tiro School and Judy Lust was elected County Parliamentarian and Historian. The spring rally was held at Bucyrus High School. The Sta te Homemaker Degree Candidates attended a meeting at Columbus in October, where they received a list of the qualifications for this year. Ardene Stuckman and Mary Jo Guinther received the State Homemaker De- gree at the State Convention last year, We were very proud of our girls. We participated in two national projects, World Christmas Festival and National FHA Week. Our World Christmas Festival activity included e a c h girl bringing in a gift and mailing them to Germany. During National FHA Week, we performed various tasks each day of the week. Again this Christmas we visited the Galion Children's Home where we gave a program for the children and pre- sented them with a gift consisting of records, candy, fruit, and popcom balls. During the month of January, we visited the Holmes Liberty FHA and had a joint FHA meeting with them. The Annual FHA and FFA Banquet was held in April. During this month, the girls traveled to Columbus, Ohio to attend the State FHA Convention. Ruby C riss inge r was chosen to serve on the Ohio State Junior Fair Board this year. She will engage in many worthwhile activities which will, we are confident, increase the effectiveness and promote the standing of our club.
