Or so it was in nv case when I made ny recent trlp around the world On my stay In Bulgaria I arose one Sunday morning and felt Inspired to attend a little mission in the town On entering the church, I saw an old classmate of mine Saxmel King, promintent busrness man and owner of a large coffee plantation I hurrled to meet him and found that he was watrng Shlrley Vlalton's appearance Shirley was a missionary and was to bring the message of this particular mornrng Who would have eler thought I would meet two of ny fellow graduates ln a far off place like bulgaria In lllaml I went to one of the big hospitals to have a splinter removed from my finger and I saw a door that read, 'Pallna Jones, ll D She ls a specialist In surgery and removed the splinter for me I aleays knew Pallna would continue to win fr-lends and Influence people but I hardly conceived that she would have an effect like performing surgery I recall, wxth Inexpreselble pleasure, the evemng I arrlved ln old New Orleans Advancing into a hotel I was affronted by a bell boy who said, 'Could I help you with your luggage? and looking up, I saw Illbur Allen He was surely swanky In that un- iform, and between you and me suitcases aren't the only thrngs that flew in his arms just as we recognized each other I was motroing past an elaborate bulldlng In southern Calxfronia when I saw two the car and shrieked with dey to see Opal luller and llargra Kierbow wrth some fellows they introduced as lnternes at this hosprtal .Lhey were certainly dazzling ln those lmaculate uniforms Stopping An Atlanta I found a beauty shop and Informed the operator that I wanted a shampoo and Eva llae Muse was to whom I was spealnngl beeing a set of rings on the third finger of her left hand I was curious to know who was the lucky guy It was Dewey Teal and guess what he is doing now He's the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in Georgia Glanclng at the Atlanta Journal I saw an advertisement that read somewhat like this: 'Dorothy Earnest, a promlerng young,vocalls, le berng featured at the Blue Room on the Rainbow Roof of the Biltmore Hotel thrs week, as stated by her manager, Donald Akin Well, Dorothy dldn't give up her career for a zmrrled life to Donald but he's still trying He's managing her l1.fe sane eq healing farther ln the Journal I saw an artrcle by Dwight Adams, President of the Scientific Bsesrch Corporation of the South, advocating the use of sans new con traptlon to aid alcoholics It couldn't be the Dwight Adams I went to school with but It is While I was in Atlanta, I went by the capital to read up on alms new laws passed by the legislature and who should I see behind the governors desk but Louise Harwell looking like e capable business woman In her trun suit Louise always wanted to be e secretary but I'll wager she never dreamed she'd sit by Herman lalmadge all dey long Hex-man's still Governor of Georgia. Guess who I saw on Televlson while I was lunching In the Waldorf Astorla hotel ln sew like One of the modeling agencies was sponsoring a show that day on Television and I was astonished to see lbra Stephens appear on the screen wearing a dreamy formal of burgundy I know, she so wanted to U s model when she cam to school at llt. lion, and its a dreauy come true I read a stetemnt the other day by Betty Ashmore, now President of lest Georgie College They are adding some new dormitories end lt seem that they are progressing under the new administration I sent into a sevlng center when I was out In New llsmliil U14 '50 11101114 not ll et the door but the formr Olols Walker She married a nlxlcan after msJorlng In Home Economics and speclalinng in clothing in college She had teo little blonde haired daughters and one typical llexlcan boy S5 PO 6 . , . 1 l .
