It has been said that death comes like a thief in the night, and that we come into this world with nothing and we leave with nothing. And yet, is it really so? For we leave behind us a legacy of ourselves. We leave to our loved ones, our family and friends, the memories of times gone by, that live like love, forever! We know all to well that once the physical presence of our departed is no longer with us we do not forge them, and that always thoughts come to us and we can and do remember, as sure as we know that spring follows winter. The parting of death is natures greatest show for it seems so final, but once we have walked amongst men and have spoken and laughed, and loved with them, can all the be fogotten in an instant? Not so, for as long as you are alive so does your loved one live within your memory. You need only recall at any time and know and gain from within yourself that inner strength of knowledge. that like this world and all in it, life and death are facts. But are we not by dying truly born again? Words are difficult and cannot express the feelings of separation and loss. But let us take comfort in the thought that our loved ones would not want us to be saddened or be the cause of our grief. Let us therefore hope that they have gone from our presence into a better world not so far away from us. Rev. Joe Crinitia Montreal, Canada
