In the be- ginning of time they were just a covering to keep feet protected from weather condi- tions. Through time shoes have become more than that. They have emerged as a fashion accesory and a clue to a person's personality. It is true that you cannot put the same SHOE on every foot. Through the halls of the Mount, varieties of SHOES can be seen. They range from high fashion pumps to old torn sneakers. Looking under the desks of busy students, one can see all types of styles ----- sneakers, sandals, mocassions, boots, loaf- ers, clogs, work boots, short boots, high heels, buttoned, buckled, tied, and flourescent colored . . . the possibilities are endless. SHOES are an extension of our personal- ities. A persons SHOES tell us whether they would rather be fashionable or com- fortable. People may own a few pairs or may own many pairs of SHOES. Shoes can make or break an outfit. It all depends on how you wear them. Certainly, the va- riety of SHOES at the Mount had made walking through the corriders just a little more interesting.
